New gTLDs – how is it going?

In 2012, ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers launched the New gTLD Program, allowing companies to apply for their own TLD. Companies like Deloitte, Canon, Apple, Amazon, Google , Mærsk, LEGO  and many others today got their own TLD.  With +1,000 new gTLDs  arriving since 2012, we look into how the domains are doing. Mark Monitor recently published their New gTLD third quarter report and from that we can see, that the use of these domain are increasing and still businesses all over get their brands registrered with a new gTLD. Germany has many registration and within industries, the bank and finance industry, automotive and insurance are in the top.
